Botox

Botulinum toxin, commonly referred to as Botox, is a safe FDA approved treatment for neck and facial muscles.  A small amount of Botox is injected at the target site which binds to muscle fibers. Once it binds it limits the contraction of the muscle.  The muscles can still function but cannot contract with the same ferocity that they would normally   Limiting the muscle activity helps reduce pain and or smooth wrinkles. It typically takes full affect within 2 weeks of treatment and last for 2-3 months.

Botox treatment is often used to treat the following conditions:
Chronic headaches
Head and neck pain
Teeth clenching
Teeth grinding
TMD (TMJ)
Facial wrinkles of the eyes forehead and lips
