Patient Notification (COVID-19)
To our Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. The last several weeks have been trying and we are all anxious to resume a somewhat normal routine. While many things have changed and will continue to evolve, certain things will never change and those are our commitment to staff and patient safety as well as providing excellent dental care.
Infection control has always been and will continue to be a major focus of our practice. These infection control systems have been in place for more than 30 years so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We feel it is important to let everyone know we will continue to follow infection control recommendations made by the ADA, CDC and OSHA. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance issued.
As a result of the recent pandemic and the ever evolving guidelines we have implemented several new policies that you need to be aware of before your next appointment. We understand some people may not yet feel comfortable enough to continue their dental care. There are many patients with risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, advanced age, etc who may wish to postpone treatment and we encourage you to do so if you are at all concerned. We kindly ask that you continue to follow our office policy and give us at least 24 hours notice. We have patients that had to be rescheduled and who both need and want to be able to come in sooner.
Please reschedule your appointment if you have had or been in contact with anyone with a FEVER, COUGH, HAVE DIFFICULTY BREATHING, EXPERIENCED LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL, (OR HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE WITH THESE SYMPTOMS) IN LAST 14-21 DAYS.
To maintain social distancing we will be requiring all patients to remain in their car and call the office to notify us once you have arrived. When you call our goal will be to review as many items as possible over the phone to limit the time and traffic in the office. These items include but are not limited to:
• Update of insurance information
• Update of contact information
• Review of copays
• Covid-19 questionnaire
• Review of any health changes
• Update of informed consents, fluoride and x-rays
